NEET Overview and EligibilityNEET 2019 – NEET 2019 will be conducted on May 5 (Sunday). The mode of the exam is offline i.e. a pen and paper-based test. The test will be conducted in as many as 154 exam cities. The registration has been closed on December 7, 2018. The last date for paying the application fee was December 8, 2018. In a separate notification, NTA mentions the MCI guidelines which are yet not clear. It says that PwD candidates may use the correction window in case of any changes on account of a verdict concerning the same.

NEET UG whose duration is three hours, tests the knowledge of 10+2 students in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. NEET 2019 results are to be declared by June 5. Having qualified the NEET 2019, candidates are required to take part in the counselling process for admission to various courses which take NEET score for admission. The counselling is to be conducted at the national and state level.

NEET 2019 offers as many as 94,000 MBBS and BDS seats to the medical and dental colleges of India except for AIIMS and JIPMER. 15% All India Quota seats of veterinary colleges also come under the umbrella of NEET UG.

In order to appear in the NEET 2019 exam, the candidates are supposed to fulfill certain eligibility criteria. The application forms of the ineligible candidates are not accepted, hence, candidates are advised to go through the NEET 2019 eligibility criteria properly listed below.


NEET Cut-off 2019

The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks to be obtained by the candidates to be considered as qualified in the entrance test. Only the candidates who meet the cut-off requirement of NEET 2019 will be eligible to attend the counseling sessions.

NOTE –  The last merit ranks to be considered for counseling of NEET 2019 will vary in each state depending on the number of seats available, reservation criteria etc.
