Reserve Bank of India, India’s central banking institution also conducts and undertakes examination for bank jobs at clerk, Assistance, PO and other levels. RBI is the responsible body for conducting Assistant level exams across its various branches. This exam is one of the highest rated one. The examination process involves clearing two hurdles- one is written exam which is conducted in two phases viz. Prelims and Mains followed by the second step of interviews. Here are some key factors to keep in mind to crack RBI Assistant Exam
KNOW THE EXAM: It is very important to thoroughly know about the examination and its pattern before starting to prepare for it. RBI Assistant Pre Exam is a 1 hour exam comprising of 100 questions. Each question carries one mark each. RBI Assistant Mains Exam is a 200 marks examination. The time duration for this exam is 2 hours 15 minutes.

For each wrong answer, negative marking of 0.25 marks is there, so it is very important to think before attempting the questions.
.KNOW THE SYLLABUS
After you have brushed yourself with the exam pattern, go through the syllabus. To crack the RBI Assistant exam, your main focus should be on coverage of whole syllabus. On the basis of the syllabus, choose the RBI Assistant Preparation books which are validated and up to date. DO NOT RUSH while covering the syllabus. Take each topic step by step to get the basics cleared and make notes of important tips and tricks sideways which you can refer for last minute revision. Make it a point to cover the entire syllabus at least once. Remember that each section is equally important and thus give equal attention to all.
Apart from the books, also read magazines, current affairs books and newspaper to keep yourself updated.
Time management is the key to acing any competitive exam. To avoid getting tired and bored, divide the study time into short intervals. Make a time table and a planner covering all the topics. Stick to the planner and time table and make the exam your ultimate priority. Do not deviate your mind in personal and family problems. Take small breaks in between the studies to avoid fatigue.

After finishing the syllabus, check yourself for accuracy and speed by solving mock tests and last year exams in the actual exam room scenario. Solve last year question papers in real time scenario. This will also give you an idea about your strengths and weaknesses and help you strategise during the real exam time. Remember, the more you practice, the more hold and grasp you get over the syllabus.
The most important thing to do while preparing for RBI exam is to stay calm and focussed. Do not pressurise yourself as it can hamper your performance on the main day.
