Common Admission Test, popularly known as CAT, is the largest MBA Entrance Exam in India. The exam is conducted by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis and is a gateway to India’s top MBA institutes like the IIMs and over 1200 other business schools. Every year more than 2.4 lakh students from all disciplines including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce and even other professionals like Law take CAT exam to get into 6,500 MBA seats in IIMs.
CAT 2020 Official Website (iimcat.ac.in) has declared all the important details about the exam including registration, exam dates and programmes offered by 20 IIMs on July 29. The CAT 2020 application form will be available on IIMCAT (CAT 2020) website. The registration will begin on August 5, 2020, and end by September 16, 2020. Like in previous years, the CAT 2020 exam will be conducted on November 29, 2020, and results will be announced in the second week of January 2021.
IIM Indore is expected to conduct the exam, this year. The candidates will be required to fill an online application form for CAT and pay the requisite fee to register for the exam. The application fee has also increased to Rs.2000/- for General candidates and to Rs.1000/- for SC/ST candidates. It should also be paid online only.
